2013 is shaping up to be an extremely rewarding year with many exciting performances and projects on the books. I am thrilled to be collaborating with my good friends and heroes Joseph Alessi and Peter Ellefson on a new concerto that I commissioned for 3 trombones and band by James Stephenson. The premiere will be at Alabama on March 11 and it will also be performed at this year's Eastern Trombone Workshop.

I am also happy to be working with Anthony Barfield on a new recording project with the UA Wind Ensemble. "Red Sky" was recorded on April 27 at UA and will be released later this year!

I am happy to announce that I have recently completed recording sessions with pianist, Kevin Chance, for a new solo cd including works by Carlos Salzedo, Anthony Barfield, Gustav Mahler, Nickitas Demos and Eric Ewazen. I hope to have this project entitled "Nature's Gift" released by the first of the year.

This year marks the beginning of a new chamber music venture for me as well. I am thrilled to be a founding member of the Australis Brass Quintet with 4 of my classmates from Indiana University. We will be heading to middle Tennessee and Kentucky for a week of recitals and masterclasses in April.
