ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

Brass Area Coordinator (2013-2017)

Responsible for all administrative aspects of the Brass Area within the School of Music at the University of Alabama including:

-serving on the School of Music Scholarship Committee and maintaining the scholarship budget for the area 
-scheduling of juries
-academic advising for all performance majors in the brass area
-other committees as designated by the director

SCHOOL OF MUSIC COMMITTIES

Scholarship Committee

Review of all students currently on, and applying for school of music scholarships. This committee will designate monetary amounts and term limits regarding all scholarship offers.

Website/Social Networking/Marketing Committee

Oversee, maintain, and update all aspects of the SOM website and serve as first point of contact regarding all needs relative to the website. In addition, this committee will propose and assist in the preparation of marketing materials for the advertisement and development of the SOM and its functions. All decisions/actions regarding SOM policy will be brought to the floor of a full faculty meeting.

Technology Committee

Analyze current uses of, and propose additional uses of currently accepted and cutting edge technologies that will enhance teaching, scholarship, and performance among the faculty and student body. Methods by which the use of technology may integrate into the curriculum are a priority.

Area Coordinators Committee

Assess and formulate policies and procedures regarding all aspects of ongoing operations within the Music School. This committee will serve as a review board for the consideration of existing problems and a recommending body regarding proposed resolutions.

Oversight, organizational, and editorial duties relative to the annual publication of the UA School of Music Magazine.
